1920’s chic with an edge

Cheers to the freakin’ weekend – I’ll drink to that! I hope you’re all having a lovely Saturday wherever you are. Today’s OOTD, hair & makeup has a real 1920’s vintage feel to it, with a punchy twist.

I adore revisiting vintage styles but adding my own little modern twist on them. This look is super classy but the studded gloves give it a cool edge, contrasting the lighter pastel palette with little hints of black.

This hairstyle is so easy to do, simply scrunch your hair into the bottom of an elasticated headband, starting from one side and working your way round to the other. It takes less than 5 mins when you’ve mastered the knack! Et voila, vous avez un joli chignon. C’est un look simple et classique!

I recently purchased this lipstick, designed by the beautiful Blake Lively for L’oréal, and I am loving it! If you use a decent lipliner base it lasts for ages on the lip and is a gorgeously pigmented, rich matte shade. L’oréal makeup was on offer in Boots (two products for £12) – I replaced my Lumiere Magique primer at £10.99 so technically picked this up for £1.01. BARGAIN CITY! Definitely worth a browse!
